National Art School
The National Art School (NAS) is Australia’s leading fine art school, with an intensive and enriching studio-based teaching model that has nurtured many of the country’s most renowned artists.
The Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) degree is designed to impart the skills, knowledge and creative independence required to sustain a career as an artist. Students complete the BFA in their chosen studio discipline of Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photomedia, Printmaking or Sculpture.
The Master of Fine Art (MFA) is a two-year full-time degree for (BFA) or equivalent graduates who decide to continue their studies. MFA students develop a higher level of specialised knowledge and artistic practice. Students can also choose to pursue cross-disciplinary practices.
The Doctor of Fine Art (DFA) is a three year full-time or six year part-time practice-based professional doctorate that will provide the completion of an academic pathway to students.
NAS is a forward-thinking, progressive art school with a continually evolving curriculum and small class sizes. We teach students to think creatively across disciplines and provide them with the instruction and resources to fulfil their artistic potential.
