FAQs:

What qualifications do I need to work in the funeral industry?
There are many different roles both within a funeral home and in our support office at InvoCare. That means there are some roles that require particular schooling or licensing and some that don’t. But empathy, compassion and people skills will always be the first thing we look for in anyone applying for a role with us.

What are the different roles involved in funeral care?
It takes many different roles to provide efficient, caring and dignified funeral services. For example, in our funeral locations, you’ll find Conductors/Arrangers who lead funeral planning, Funeral Director Assistants who look after the logistics of a funeral service, and others. There are also many roles that do not work directly with families in corporate positions such as finance, marketing, legal and more.

Will I receive full training?
All employees undergo an extensive induction programme and are fully trained in all aspects of each of their role.  Once a new employee has commenced in their role, existing team members will also guide and support the new employee as they get up to speed with the broad variety of tasks and situations that play in their day to day roles.

Why should I work at InvoCare?
Everyone who applies to work with us has a different reason for wanting to join our team. But what unites us all is the commitment to making impactful on those that choose us to honour life of their loved ones and celebrate their memory. A real feeling of giving back to the community is felt across InvoCare.

Here, you’ll discover meaningful work that helps people in a role where you’re truly valued as part of a supportive team and a company with purpose. It’s a career experience like no other where you’ll never stop growing – professionally and personally – and where you’ll be part of people’s lives when it matters most.
