Canberra Institute of Technology
The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) has been part of the Canberra community for 95 years, skilling the region’s workforce since 1928.
As the largest Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider in the ACT, we train over 20,000 students each year. Without even realising it, your day-to-day life is touched by the skills of our graduates, from your fitness instructor and coffee shop barista to your grandparent’s aged care support worker and the tradies who keep utilities running throughout our city.
Our nationally recognised courses offer practical experience, not just theory, ensuring our students get real industry skills that lead to jobs. With a wide range of courses available, including fee-free* qualifications and short courses, there has never been a better time to up- or reskill.
*Fee-Free TAFE is a jointly funded initiative of the Commonwealth, state and territory governments. Eligibility criteria apply, approved students will need to pay for any learning resources such as textbooks or other equipment required for the course.
