Perform Australia

In addition to roles on stage or screen, studying acting can open the door to a wide range of employment opportunities which require performance skills. Our graduates have worked in television, theatre, film, musical theatre, radio, podcasting, arts administration, backstage management, voiceover artistry, writing, and many other related fields. You can train professionally in an accredited course (like our 10915NAT Certificate IV in Acting and our 11017NAT Advanced Diploma of Performance), or simply join an afternoon or evening recreational program that introduces you to the foundations of acting.
If you’re in Years 9-12, you may also be interested in our Academy Program, which is a full-time high school and college program at our Griffith campus (near Manuka), which combines distance education for academic subjects, and face-to-face performing arts education with industry tutors daily. Students in Years 9 and 10 complete nationally recognised, accredited units from a range of performing arts disciplines, while students in Years 11 and 12 complete our 10915NAT Certificate IV in Acting and the 11017NAT Advanced Diploma of Performance through those two years.
So if you’re looking to get trained as an actor in film, television and theatre, get started with Perform Australia.
